We have a new venue for the September meeting - the Three Wheatsheafs. For those of you that remember the Hillside/Western club, this is just a little further down that road.
The speaker will be Dennis Wordsworth, long time Koi expert and freind to Peter Waddington, who will be taking us through some of his favourite breeders and their bloodlines.
Dave Perry talked to us in October last year, and shared a lively discussion about the merits of choosing koi and general appreciation matters. Dave has now been to Japan and is back again to talk to us about his experiences and the koi that he selected.
Night starts 7:30pm and all are welcome. Please remember subs are due tonight - half price for prompt payment!
In May we are pleased to welcome back to the club Corin from Greenwood Nurseries. Many of you have seen Corin's demonstration before - where he starts with a wimpy tree and 30 minutes last has cut 99% of it off and is left with a beautiful baby bonsai. This truly is something that has to be seen to be believed. (TBC)
Those of you who travelled to Manchester last year will remember Tony's excellent hospitality at the end and his stunning show pond which contained a Chagoi the size of a small submarine! Tony will present a talk this evening on his latest trip to Japan, including a visit to the Sakai Koi Farm

The AGM will be held in November. As usual, there are people stepping down from the committee (including chairman, photo show organiser, trips organiser, speakers organiser and webmaster) and volunteers will be needed to continue to run the club.
